What are some examples of activities?
One of the best things about WonderMud is that we keep it flexible and are never in a hurry. This allows us to adapt to the group, the weather and any spontaneous learning opportunities that arise. Here are just a few of our favorite activities from last summer:
meeting the farm animals
helping with chores
exploring the farmland ecosystems
visiting neighbours' gardens (Sue and Audrey)
harvesting fresh produce
picking blackberries
nature-inspired crafts...
What types of animals will campers encounter?
On the farm, we'll meet and get to know cows, laying hens, meat chickens, goats, ponies and sheep, not to mention a variety of wildlife that cohabits the vast farmland.
What is sliding scale pricing?
WonderMud is a young program created by two local small-business owners working in sustainable farming and nature education. We do not receive any external funding. Our goal is to make this experience accessible to as many youth as possible while still succeeding in making it a viable program that we can continue to offer for years to come. We invite families to pay what feels comfortable according to their means. Please contact us if you have any questions.
